Design, Research, Process, Meaning – Design Methodologies
This course focuses on developing creative problem-solving methodologies for design thinking. Students are tasked with questioning these four topics: Design, Research, Process, and Meaning. They explore the relationship between these theoretical constructs of creative inspiration.
The course facilitates student innovative development through rapid visualization techniques. Students effectively articulate and present various methods of visual problem solving though both written and visual means. They begin to develop their research and ethnographic processes in a way that leads to clear communication outcomes. Lastly, they analyze, design and implement design strategies based on communication needs and market trends.
